Network Services Overview
Incorrigo Syx uses IRC services to enhance your IRC experience. These services help manage nicknames, channels, privacy, messaging, and automated channel bots. The services control the network and behave as one, but you interact with them by going to one of the following service agents below
Available Services / Their Purpose Here
- nickserv – Provides nickname registration, handles account confirmation and login, protects your registered nickname(s) from being used by anyone else, grants you mode +r that represents you are using a nickname that is registered
- chanserv – This service will let you register channels, define permissions and access, remembers all of your channel modes (settings) and even helps you lock modes so they can't be changed. Protects your channel even when you're not online
- hostserv – Lets registered users request vanity hostnames (vHosts), operators activate these, hostserv sets it when you come online, replaces your ISP or other information that a "cloaked" hostname doesn't hide
- memoserv – Lets you send and receive private offline messages (memos) to other registered users, ensuring your messages reach users even if they are offline. You can also send memos to registered channels which someone on the channel's access list is permitted to list and read
- botserv – Offers configurable network-hosted bots to enhance channel moderation, management, and entertainment, providing automatic responses and extra moderation capabilities chanserv doesn't provide
