Incorrigo Syx
- text based virtual world -
There is nothing new about the text-only platform we provide. As a technology, it predates the modern web—tracing its roots back to 1988, a digital era lost to time yet ever-present beneath our current moment - but encountered from the beginning by the mind that kept this obscure old way of chatting that got supplanted in every possible way between then and now
Incorrigible at heart, yeah we are. Just another cabal who want to control them all. But this is the UK, IRC died a death a long time ago ... someone who was created at the same time as IRC will have had the chance to see what it was like before things changed from join in
to add as friend
but it was all to appease targeted advertisements and if you paid the most money, your movement is allowed to reach the prevailing demographic
. No, the internet needs IRC more than it could possibly know
Never thought about it in the beginning ... just maintained a server and kept it running. Then for some reason that turned a corner, and that's how it became a network. Because if people don't come together on IRC where else is it going to happen? Relax, you can still have all of your users to control... no delusions about revolution all rising up to my call that will never yield
and flocking to the great banner ... this is the future- our technology lets us open a new banner and login to another flock simultaneously. Maybe it's the same flock existing in two pleaces - the proper one over there, and the real one over here - and it's every bit as happening as you are
We aren't chasing trends. We're curating spaces that haven't been taken up by meticulous micro managed obsequious neo-liberal fascist sense of moral responsibility, with a self appointed sense of entitlement. Each visitor who enters Incorrigo Syx constructs their own identity, crafting something unique from mere text. And in doing so, they're joining a quiet rebellion. It's invisible right now, but it's happening. Yes we are every bit as real, and one day they will stay long enough to realise we give them more control, because we don't want it
Remember, it's good to talk...
...just like things used to be, where your nickname was what people called you in real life; and no one had kicked the ladder out from under themselvces before you could get your turn at it
